Sugar Bang Bang Extra Bet: the 1.5X cost and expanded board

Extra Bet costs 1.5X of the original bet and unlocks three frozen top cells. The in-game tip says the unlocked reel upgrades the game to an expanded ways mode. Sugar Bang Bang is the FA CHAI title; it uses the extra cells above reels 2, 3 and 4. The candy slot keeps its five reels, while its ways counter changes after activation. Our demo test on 6 November 2026 recorded a total bet change from 0.40 to 0.60. The FC game labels the feature Extra Bet, and the demo mode with fun credits starts with a 0.40 total bet.

What the feature changes

The Extra Bet feature changes the board layout and total stake together. Its three additional cells sit at the top of reels 2–4, and the FA CHAI game page describes the expanded board as a 2,000-ways game. 1,024 ways versus 2,000 ways at 0.40 and 0.60

At a 0.40 demo bet, the base board shows 1,024 ways; at 0.60, Extra Bet shows 2,000 ways. The FA CHAI game page identifies the standard layout as five reels by four rows. The table records demo values in fun credits, not pesos.

Reading the two demo settings

The 0.40 amount is the base total bet in our demo, and the 0.60 amount is the total after activation. The slot displays a ways counter beside the board, so you can compare the two settings before pressing Spin. Sugar Bang Bang uses fun credits in the demo; those credits have no cash value.

Frozen top cells and Wilds that thaw

After activation, three frozen cells above reels 2–4 thaw in our demo. The in-game tip says Extra Bet unlocks the cells, and the demo test showed them thawed. The bear slot then displays the expanded board and its higher ways count. The developer description says Extra Bet thaws sweet Wilds, but our test confirmed the frozen cells rather than a specific Wild landing. What the thawed cells mean

The thawed cells add positions to the top of three reels; they do not add a sixth reel. Sugar Bang Bang still has five reels, and its extra top positions belong to reels 2, 3 and 4. The paytable lists symbols and payouts, while the Extra Bet tip describes the board upgrade. No result follows from the cells alone; the game screen evaluates each spin.

Turning Extra Bet on and off in four steps

Use the Extra Bet control to switch modes, then confirm the bet and ways counter before spinning. The demo screen includes minus and plus bet controls, a central Spin button and an Extra Bet setting.

1. Check the displayed total bet before changing modes; our demo started at 0.40 fun credits.
2. Select Extra Bet to activate the feature; the in-game tip states that the cost is 1.5X of the original bet.
3. Confirm the total bet reads 0.60 and the counter reads 2,000 ways in the activated demo setting.
4. Select Extra Bet again to return to the base setting, then confirm the 0.40 bet and 1,024-ways counter before pressing Spin.

The blue central Spin button starts a round, while the minus and plus buttons adjust the bet. The tips for controlling the game page describes the controls without promising a particular result.

Extra Bet in Sugar Bang Bang 2 and Plus

Sugar Bang Bang 2 uses Extra Bet for a premium gold symbol and multiplier effect; Plus uses an expanded board. FA CHAI gives the second game ID 22071 and a 1024-ways layout. Its Extra Bet unlocks a gold symbol, and FA CHAI news says eliminating that symbol adds 2X for the spin. The 2025 sequel page covers that version’s mechanics.

How Plus handles the feature

Sugar Bang Bang Plus, ID 22093, lists both standard and expanded ways. Its demo screen marks three extra top cells as Extra Bet unlock, and its in-game tip gives the same 1.5X cost rule. Unlike the second game’s gold-symbol effect, Plus shows lollipop multiplier symbols on reels. The Plus edition page explains how those symbols work. Each version has its own feature details, so the original game’s thawed cells should not be confused with the sequel’s gold symbol.
